Rosemary Elaine Guthrie

Rosemary Elaine Guthrie, 69, of DeWitt, IA passed away November 4, 2024 at her home. 

Per her wishes she will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. 

Rosemary was born January 31, 1955 in DeWitt, IA the daughter of Bud and Alice DeSchepper. Rose was outgoing, kind, friendly and had a big heart. She had an infectious laugh. She grew up in Long Grove, IA. She loved the farm she grew up on and being outdoors. She took in family, friends and strangers and treated them as her own. Her final resting place will be in the garden at the farm she grew up on. Her life was spent as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. 

Survivors include her significant other Donnie Smith; children Toni Guthrie and Evan (Tiani) Guthrie; grandchildren Chris Guthrie, Chloe Brueggert, Kailey Brueggert, Dewey Washington, Trinity Brueggert, Dylan Guthrie; great grandson Finnley Martin; siblings Charlie (Pam) DeSchepper, Jean(Gordon) Korstange, Marilyn Moya, Tom (Carol) DeSchepper, Bill (Kim) DeSchepper, Barb (Scott) Caprio, Gary DeSchepper, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Alice DeSchepper and her brother Jerry DeSchepper.
