Rex O. Nichols

Rex O. Nichols, 72, of Bettendorf, passed away October 29, 2023 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport.

A celebration of life will be 1:00pm Saturday, November 4, 2023 at The Fountains Senior Living Clubhouse followed by a memorial gathering. In lieu of flowers memorials will be distributed amongst his favorite charities, including Eldon Depot Museum.

Rex was born March 21, 1951 in Ottumwa, IA the son of Robbie and Ruby Dickens Nichols. He married Teri Glattfelder Aug. 3, 1974 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She passed away August 21, 2018. Rex worked in accounting at the Rock Island Arsenal. He enjoyed model trains, researching genealogy, having good times with friends, and going on walks with his grand dog, Montanna.

Survivors include his daughter Tracy Nichols.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a brother Bob Parker.
